The Bourne Legacy Review - 2 Stars
Matt Damon turned Robert Ludlum’s Bourne into quite a character in his series of movies, the most recent about five years ago. Now the excellent Jeremy Renner appears as yet another member of the super secret CIA program designed to produce super human soldier-spies. Like the very first Bourne movie, Renner must determine his identity and then outrun the government forces hellbent on destroying him. In this version, he saves physician Rachel Weisz from those who want to kill her and off the two go on the lamb together. I enjoyed watching this latest episode, but I would say if you go, don’t expect anything new. “The Bourne Legacy” simply delivers another copy of the original. Fun to watch and full of action but really—is this necessary? Does it deliver what it promises? More of the same. Is it entertaining? Fun at times. Is it worth the price of admission? For the most hard core fans.
