Safe Haven Review - 2 Stars
Nicholas Sparks by the numbers formula romance. Beautiful girl escapes danger in quaint North Carolina coastal town and meets sexy widower whose dead wife has left instructions from beyond the grave. Julianne Hough plays the runaway beauty looking for a rescue. Josh Duhamel the suffering widower who saves her. Forget about subtle in “Safe Haven” — the bad people are really bad and the good people angelic. With acting this wooden, stick to the book. Does it deliver what it promises? Another Nicholas Sparks formula romance. Is it entertaining? For Sparks fans. Is it worth the price of admission? I have a feeling a lot of Valentine’s will suffer through this.
