Now You See Me Review - 3 Stars
“Now You See Me’ spins a story about four magicians brought together for a magnificent scam. The four include Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Isla Fisher and Dave Franco (James’ younger brother.) Their first stunt transfers millions from a bank vault in France into an audience in Las Vegas. This riles the F B I and an agent played by Mark Ruffalo who consistently stays a step or two behind. Morgan Freeman has a nice role as a magic debunker — a guy who explains how magicians do what they do. Michael Caine turns up as a not very nice zillionaire who gets his bank account cleaned out. ‘Now You See Me” reminds me of the kind of movie they used to make before everything had to be a blockbuster. This one runs on story. Does it deliver what it promises? Entertaining magic caper. Is it entertaining? Very much fun. Is it worth the price of admission? Now you should see it.
