Runner Runner Review

Justin Timberlake plays an online poker player and site rep who thinks he’s been cheated. He flies to Costa Rica to confront site owner Ben Affleck.  This being a movie, Affleck offers Timberlake a job.  Soon the kid is in the thick of things including the boss’ girlfriend Gemma Arterton.  He also gets involved with the deeper secrets of the operation and finds out just in the nick of time that he just might turn into Affleck’s fall guy.  The movie’s good enough and zips along, but it doesn’t really do anything new.  Affleck’s ok but not his best.  Timberlake’s watchable.  Does it deliver what it promises?  Justin Timberlake advances his acting career.  Is it entertaining?  No surprises here.  Is it worth the price of admission?  Catch this on Netflix soon.
