The Other Woman Review - 3 Stars
“The Other Woman” puts a new spin on an old plot: the wronged women. Cameron Diaz discovers her boyfriend’s married. So she teams up with the guy’s wife played by Leslie Mann. When they discover a third girlfriend — swimsuit model Kate Upton — they team up for sweet revenge. Leslie Mann steals most of her scenes rocking back and forth between wanting to get even and trying to fix things. Cameron Diaz puts a good spin on a modern career woman and Kate Upton comes off as a good sport: not a great actress but willing to do what she can to add to the fun. Nikola Coster-Waldau has a lot of fans from “Game of Thrones”. He makes a great looking serial cheating villain. I must also mention Nicki Minaj. She nails her scenes as Cameron’s take no prisoners assistant. The ending gets a little over the top but features one shocking laugh out loud moment. The movie manufactures great fun and the audience I watched with loved it. Don’t expect anything deep or challenging, but if you go, go for the fun of it. Does it deliver what it promises? Revenge comedy. Is it entertaining? Many laugh out loud moments. Is it worth the price of admission? Female driven comedy that guys can enjoy.
